The people behind the progress

Meet the
Coaching Team

Big ambition.
Personal guidance.
Real capability.

Behind every ambitious team are coaches who recognise potential, build confidence and help young people turn ideas into achievement.

At Humindlab.ai, our coaching team brings together youth leadership, competitive robotics experience, engineering, computing and practical project management. We help young people develop the technical skills to compete seriously, alongside the judgement, resilience and confidence to take ownership of their progress.

Founder & Head Coach

Youth Development · Team Leadership · Project Management

Ahmed brings together experience in youth development, Scouting and competitive robotics, with a clear purpose: helping young people discover what they are capable of and develop the discipline to pursue it.

Coaching focus: Project planning, budgeting, team strategy, resilience, public speaking and competition preparation.

During the 2025–26 season, Ahmed served as Head Coach of Fitya Pioneers, a team that achieved:

  • 1stplaceNorth of England
    regional competition
  • 9thplaceUK
    national competition

A PMP®-certified project manager and registered Scout leader, he helps students understand how successful teams work: setting goals, planning projects, managing budgets, sharing responsibilities and making sound decisions under pressure.

He brings that experience to Humindlab.ai, helping young people understand the preparation, commitment and teamwork required to compete among Britain’s strongest robotics teams.

His coaching develops adaptability, problem-solving and public speaking alongside technical learning. Students learn to explain their ideas, respond constructively when a design fails and take responsibility for delivering work that matters.

Ahmed’s approach combines high expectations with attentive mentorship, recognising that confidence grows through trust, practice and genuine achievement.

Portrait of Amr Ibrahim

Amr Ibrahim

Mechanical Project Engineer & Robotics Coach

Engineering Design · Programming & Automation · Project Management

Amr Ibrahim is a 27-year-old Mechanical Project Engineer with a background in aerospace and industrial manufacturing, and experience in engineering design, programming and working with children. At Humindlab.ai, he brings that practical expertise to our robotics programmes, helping young people turn ideas into working projects and develop confidence in their abilities.

Coaching focus: Engineering design, robot building and programming, testing and improvement, project planning, teamwork and practical problem-solving.

Read more about Amr Ibrahim

Amr’s engineering experience covers the full project lifecycle, from early planning through to delivery. He helps students apply that structure to their own work: define the challenge, break it into manageable tasks, organise responsibilities and review progress. This gives teams a clearer understanding of how ambitious projects are completed.

His background in engineering design supports a practical approach to building robots. Students are encouraged to explore different solutions, explain their choices, test what they have built and refine it. The emphasis is on understanding why a design works and using each test to make a better decision.

With experience in programming, advanced automation systems and robotics integration, Amr helps connect mechanical design with the code that controls it. Through building and coding activities, students at different stages can explore how individual parts work together and how to identify and resolve problems within a complete system.

His work with children combines technical challenge with encouragement. He helps young people communicate their thinking, contribute to a team and take ownership of their responsibilities. When an idea does not work first time, he supports them in reviewing the result, trying again and building confidence through improvement.

Years of community volunteering, including technical robotics programmes and local charitable initiatives, also shape his approach. For Amr, mentoring is an opportunity to share practical experience and make a positive difference: helping young people develop their abilities, support one another and recognise the value of their contribution.

He helps students connect scientific principles to the robots they build: understanding how mechanisms move, how forces affect performance and how design choices influence reliability.

Through design discussions, practical experimentation and testing, Omar helps young people develop an engineering mindset: investigate the problem, explain the idea, test the solution and improve it using evidence.

As a young coach, he offers a relatable example of someone pursuing an ambitious technical pathway and shares his skills in a way that makes engineering feel accessible and exciting.

He brings his developing university knowledge into a practical learning environment, supporting students as they explore programming, computational thinking and the relationship between software and robotic systems.

His coaching encourages young people to break a complex task into manageable steps, investigate errors and explain the reasoning behind their solutions.

As a young coach, Ahmed helps students see computing and AI as fields they can actively understand, contribute to and pursue.

Guidance you can trust

Trusted adults.
Ambitious role models.

All members of our coaching team are DBS-checked, registered Scout leaders and have previous experience working with children and young people. They hold relevant training and qualifications for their roles.

Our team combines experienced leadership with young coaches pursuing engineering and computing pathways. This gives students both dependable guidance and relatable examples of where their own ambition could take them.

Capability and character

Coaching that
builds ownership

Our coaches get to know the young person behind the project: their interests, strengths, confidence and ambitions.

We provide guidance, honest feedback and progressively greater responsibility. Students have opportunities to make decisions, test ideas, learn from mistakes and contribute work they can proudly explain.

We take competition and winning seriously. Alongside that ambition, we help every Huminder develop the capability to think independently, succeed with others and keep improving.
